Embryo Creation Options

PreciousEggs offers flexible embryo creation options. Whether you are a patient at RADfertility or are already working with another fertility center, we can create embryos in our own laboratory and ship them to the clinic of your choice.

For RADfertility Patients

When Using Fresh Donor Eggs

On the day of the donor's egg retrieval, we will use the sperm provided by the the intended father(s) or a donor for embryo creation. Once your embryos have been created, they will be closely monitored for 5-7 days before being transferred at our Newark, Delaware center or frozen.

When Using Frozen Donor Eggs

Because frozen donor eggs have already been retrieved, we will use the sperm provided by the intended father(s) or a donor for embryo creation at the time of your choosing. Once your embryos have been created, they will be closely monitored for 5-7 days before being transferred at our Newark, Delaware center or frozen.

For Patients Working With Another Fertility Center

When Using Fresh Donor Eggs

Prior to the donor's egg retrieval, the intended father(s) will provide their sperm to your fertility center. Your fertility center will freeze their sperm and ship it to RADfertility for embryo creation on the same day of the donor's egg retrieval. If using donor sperm, it will be shipped directly to our office for embryo creation on this day as well. Once your embryos have been created, they will be closely monitored for 5-7 days before being frozen and shipped back to your fertility center.

When Using Frozen Donor Eggs

Because frozen donor eggs have already been retrieved, the intended father(s) can provide their sperm to your fertility center at the time of your choosing. Your fertility center will freeze their sperm and ship it to RADfertility for embryo creation using the frozen donor eggs. If using donor sperm, it will be shipped directly to our office for embryo creation. Once your embryos have been created, they will be closely monitored for 5-7 days before being frozen and shipped back to your fertility center.

Frozen Vs. Fresh Donor Eggs?

Many intended parents often ask about our perspective on the use of frozen vs. fresh donor eggs. While the overall statistical chance of pregnancy appears to be equal with frozen vs. fresh donor eggs, each individual’s history and future goals are different. We would encourage you to discuss with your physician which option might be best for you.

Embryo Creation

Due to the availability of our in-house PreciousEggs donors and our partnership with Egg Donor Collaborative, you have the unique ability to create embryos using fresh donor eggs. We will fertilize the mature eggs with the sperm that you provide (partner or donor). The embryos can then be utilized at our center in Delaware, or shipped to centers around the world.
